When Winter comes around there’s nothing better than snuggling into bed under a nice warm doona (or comforter depending on where you’re from), which begs the question…

What’s the warmest type of doona?

Well, I would say this is very definitely something that comes down to personal preference, but I’ve got to say that I have just recently discovered how wonderful a wool comforter is.

After being a bit sceptical at first, I can tell you that I simply love our wool doona. If you’re used to a feather or down comforter, it does take a bit of getting used to as the wool doona is not fluffy and is a bit deceiving as it feels lighter than a feather doona, but I can tell you from personal experience, it is so much warmer.

In all my adult life I have used an electric blanket on my bed, but ever since we’ve had the wool comforter, I have actually taken the electric blanket off the bed, which believe me is amazing as I’m one of the coldest people I know

So, if you’re looking for a doona, I would definitely recommend trying a wool one…just give it a go as you might just be surprised as I was. I know I will never go back to a down or feather comforter again now.
