I just bought a new (polyester) is warm and itchy! Suggestions?

The climate is hot (Too hot for a blanket Down) so I just bought a new duvet set of polyester. I bought the quilt, pillows, extra (decorative) pillows, etc. The Comforter itchy! As 've now washed once (last night) without fabric softener and was very itchy. I Wash again at the moment with fabric softener, which should solve the problem? I bought clothes extremely soft and pillow covers (to sleep) and coverage under low, but the quilt is so itchy. If the softener to solve the problem? Or perhaps the quilt material itself?

I would use a good fabric softener and do not use pillows until they are for decoration of sleep. So lighten you are too hard for you in your choice.
