Hotel Style High Quality Bedding
Many of us have stayed in a hotel from time to time, with high class hotels having high quality bedding. This quality of bedding can be extremely comfortable and made from the finest materials, giving you an excellent night’s sleep. The quality of this bedding does not necessarily need to only be found in high class hotels, as the manufacturers of hotel bedding usually produce a retail variation for us to purchase and enjoy. Knowing what fabrics hotel bedding is made from can assist you in selecting your own bedding for your bedroom with a very comfortable night’s sleep to come.
When it comes to bedding, Egyptian cotton is the highest quality cotton, used to produce luxury bedding. When looking at what is available, have a quick check of the label before purchasing to make sure it states the item in question is 100% Egyptian cotton. This is because some companies are known to mix in lower quality cotton to save cost in an attempt to make a higher degree of profit. Three variations of cotton are Egyptian as already mention but also Pima which is grown in U.S., Peru, Israel and Australia as well as Supima which is the name given to 100% American Pima cotton. All have qualities of being smooth and supple with a glossy look and made from high quality yarns.
High Quality Bedding
When looking for the ideal luxury bedding for your home, make sure the item has a thread count of at least 200 or more which means it will have a softer feel as well as being much more durable. This allows the bedding to be able to withstand many more washers than lower quality bedding. To test the quality, run the fabric between your thumb and fingers to feel for any inconsistencies or unevenness but also for any sign of discolouration.
With each of us having a preference over cool and crisp bedding compared to soft and cozy, the material used will provide an indication on what range of bedding to purchase. If you find you become hot easily in bed then 100% cotton is recommended as this has a very cool feel. If however you require more warmth then cold flannel or cotton knit would be much more suited to your requirements. Percale will give a cool and crisp feeling whereas cotton sateen with give a more soft and cozy feel to the bedding.
Depending on your budget may depend on how much you can afford to spend on luxury bedding. Even though there are many ranges available at competitive prices, you can still find high cost bedding when made from Egyptian cotton for example. Bedding that has been yarn dyed before being woven can increase the cost but a quality range of luxury bedding can last you many years, especially when cared for properly. This means you should not use hot water or bleach as well but also not to dry to much when your bedding has been washed. This aspects can all help in deteriorating the bedding much quicker so should be avoided.
Whichever bedding you choose, you can be assured of many quality nights of sleep to come.
