We’ve always co-slept, so he’s used to using my light-weight blanket and usually my arm as a pillow.
At 20 months we began moving our son out of our bed. He sleeps on his converted crib between our bed and the wall, so we still actually co-sleep but he has his own space. Since we DO co-sleep there have always been blankets-and pillows when he stole mine. We bought him a travel size pillow-it’s abotu 1/3 the size of a regular pillow at aroudn his first birthday. When he moved into his own space, he was given a big boy sheet/comforter/pillow sham set.
EDIT**LOL Then I highly recomend getting him a new set of sheets for his new bed!! We didn’t plan it that way.My mother in law had bought him these and was SO excited to see we were trying out his own bed that she sent father in law back to their house to get them for him.
