How to wash a queen size bed quilt / duvet?

Hello! I have a great quilt for my bed. nothing extraordinary about it, and can be washed regularly. You do not need dry cleaning or whatever. My cat used as a hangar area. " She desperately needs to be washed. But my machine is small and not make a very good job at all. I took it for cleaning again, but was only very expensive to clean. Looking for advice. Help!

Get a blanket "blanket" the quilt. They are a much lighter weight and adapts to the washer.
