Help me choose a quilt, must be cheap, but the latter is authorized poly / cotton?

I'm on a tight budget and looking for bedding for my bed. The last set we had bought a bed in a bag of cotton and poly / and died very quickly (Purchased at Sears). Am ready to go with only a quilt and pillow cases to save $ but I'm afraid if I go again wear polyester. Should I go with cotton and spend more to get to use it? Does anyone know a place where I can get a set of approx. $ 50 or less?
