Accesoories for a brown and pink room? (Brown zebra comforter and pink accesories)?

stuff for the walls too! and maybe a sign for my door

Brown & pink do go well together. The zebra comforter seems like it’s probably the focal point of your room right now, which is fine, but I would add a pale pink throw to the foot of your bed to keep the zebra a little less dominating & bring out the pink a bit more.

Also, because brown and pinks are both warm colors, try adding a “cool” color like aqua or pale blue in a few small ways. Find an art print that features that cool color – could be an African sunset (pinks, blues, browns).

Art looks best hung in three’s, but more importantly buy art that is the right size for your room. Don’t buy a small frame if you have high ceilings or a wide space. But using multiple small frames in a small space makes the space look bigger. Keep the frames the same color – brown is probably going to be your best bet. You can hang them with pink ribbon to add some more interest.

Swap out a lamp shade for a zebra pattern and add a pink bead trim. Use a pink bulb for extra impact!

Different textures help in decorating too. A fuzzy pink pillow on your bed might be the only pink you need if you have a few brown satin pillows surrounding it. If you have a chair in your room buy or make a brown, aqua & pink pillow for it to bring all the colors together – fabric store remnants have a ton of patterns.

A group of brown candles nestled in pink rocks (or vice versa) would look cool on a dresser too as would some aqua glass perfume bottles (dollar store has lots of stuff like that)

A sign outside your door can be as simple as, “z-girl” or, “it’s a jungle in there.”

Happy Decorating!!
