Down Comforter, etc?

I am lookin to get a really nice down comforter- full size- for under a hundred bucks. I reallly would like to get lucky and find one with a good thread count and good fill material. Also a higher fill power. Does anyone know where to find a really really good deal like this? Also, while I’m at it, does anyone know where to get a good set of high thread count(300+) sheets and a good thread count Duvet cover for the comforter. Those things always run so expensive. I’d like to spend $30-$40 on the sheets and maybe $40 on the cover. Help me find a good deal!! – IF THERE IS SUCH A THING!!! Geez. Haha! Thankx.

The best places to look for a real deal on these types of items are Tuesday Mornings, TJ Maxx or Marshalls. You can occationally find excellent sales at places like Linens and Things, and Bed Bath and Beyond when seasons are changing or designers are changing styles/fabrics.

Be very sure to do your research as many less expensive items will not have true cleaned down fill or will have thread count that is not true. Some companies will sell sheets and duvet covers which state they are 300 thread count and they are actually taking 150 individual threads and splitting them, it is not based on an individual thread. Look for Egyptian cotton for the best smoothness, softness and durability.

Do not waste your money on blended cottons, which contain polyester, they will not wear well and will end up pilling in a very short time.
