comforter question please help!?

Ive been looking for a comforter for a while now ive gone to bed bath and beyond and marshalls and target. plus ive looked online for one and i can not find one that i like. i found one at urban outfitters (link below) that i liked im like more of an urban type of style but i need one for a twin or twin XL because it is for a dorm room. if you even have pictures of how a dorm room is decorated it would be greatly appreciated!!! thank you!

If you can sew a straight line, you can make your own comforter. Simply find patterned material you like in a fabric store, and get a solid color fabric to compliment it. You can also buy a layer of “stuffing” to pad the middle.

It’s much like making a quilt, but you don’t need quilt patches or squares, just use the large pieces. Also, you don’t need fancy stitching to keep the layers flat and aligned. Just put a knotted stitch about every eight inches or so across and down the comforter.
